The Initiative of Excellence supports and fosters ambitious initiatives aimed at accelerating research, enriching educational offerings, and stimulating innovation across the entire campus, in order to address the scientific and societal challenges of today and tomorrow.

The calls for projects launched by Amidex each year aim to support the transformation of the Aix-Marseille campus by encouraging risk-taking and “working together,” fostering greater synergies with all public and private stakeholders in research and education, and supporting innovation.

Current Calls for Proposals

Innovation

The Innovation Call aims to support the emergence and early-stage development of innovative projects from the PUI Provence originating in academic laboratories. It provides financial support and guidance during the initial stages of these projects’ development to facilitate their transfer to industry or the creation of deep-tech startups.

It offers a new funding opportunity in the event of non-selection, contingent upon a national evaluation that must be rated at least “very good” or even “excellent” by the following bodies: the commitment committees of the France 2030 Pre-Maturation-Maturation consortia, the CNRS Innovation Pre-Maturation program, and the Inserm CoPoC.

This call for proposals supports research units at the Aix-Marseille site that wish to replace their aging equipment with more energy-efficient models in order to strengthen their capacity to carry out their research programs and apply their findings to the socioeconomic, nonprofit, and cultural sectors.

- Component 1: Replacement of equipment for researchers, faculty members, or research engineers 
- Component 2: Replacement of equipment dedicated to applied research for the site’s accredited research platforms
- Component 3: Acquisition of equipment for researchers, faculty researchers, or research engineers in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
