Valuing your pedagogy

In order to enhance the pedagogical activity of teachers and teachers/researchers, the university has set up various mechanisms

1. the Pedagogical Commitment Premium (PEP)

The pedagogical commitment bonus (PEP) makes it possible to recognize and value in an exceptional way the pedagogical investment of a teacher considered in his or her teaching situation; in this respect, the PEP stands out:

  • of the PRP, which values responsibility;
  • EQS that record in the teacher's service the pedagogical time spent in "non-attendance";
  • the promotion to grade system, which assesses the teacher's involvement through a wide range of items, some of which are not directly related to pedagogy.

The teaching staff eligible for PEP are: PRs, MCFs, secondary school teachers. The winners may be involved in events organised by the Centre d'Innovation Pédagogique et d'Evaluation (CIPE) as well as in the pedagogical measures set up by the school. Indicative calendar :

  • Launch of the PEP call for applications: early April
  • Deadline for submitting applications to components: end of May
  • Evaluation of files in the components: until mid-June
  • Deadline for returning classification tables and files to the DEVE training centre: end of June
  • Examination of applications to the Restricted Academic Council and proposal for final ranking: early July

2. The Educational Valuation Dossier (DVP)

The DVP

Teachers who wish to have their teaching efforts taken into account can use their pedagogical references alongside the usual research references. In the same way that a teacher ensures that his curriculum vitae is kept up to date in terms of research, he can collect his references in terms of educational investment within a teaching file or a pedagogical valorisation file "DVP". The objective of a DVP is therefore to enable teachers to increase the value of their investments and commitment to pedagogy. It contains a collection of elements showing the teacher's commitment to pedagogical activities, and even the teacher's competencies in relation to the competency frameworks.

The DVP approach

The construction of a DVP will illustrate:

  • The synthesis of his teaching experience (years, levels, type of teaching...) by reporting on his pedagogical evolution
  • Teaching loads (level, number of students, type of teaching, etc.)
  • Its pedagogical investment by reporting on its pedagogical experiences, its creations and pedagogical mechanisms aimed at improving the effectiveness of learning by reporting on materials, documents, books, experiences, illustrations
  • The development of teaching materials: course notes, books, audiovisual resources, websites, etc.
  • The development of educational projects, particularly within the framework of the FIP
  • Participation in training courses in pedagogy, whether or not they lead to a diploma
  • Participation in pedagogical or didactic symposia
  • Educational publications

It will allow the exchange of knowledge and expertise in higher education in a teaching community. In addition to demonstrating its expertise in teaching, the DVP, via a collaborative platform of the professional social network type, will serve as a support to exchange on common teaching themes within a network of teachers.
