Created in 2010 and allocated €35 billion, the Investments for the Future programme (PIA) aims to stimulate employ-ment, boost productivity and increase the competitiveness of French businesses by encouraging investment and inno-vation in priority sectors to drive growth. A second programme was launched in 2013 with €12 billion, followed by a third in 2017 with €10 billion.
