The Institute "Mediterranean Societies in Transition" has set up a transverse intersectorial committee entitled "Research, Training and Intersectorality: the contribution of Socio-economic and Cultural Stakeholders".

A close collaboration links the Institute to its local, national and international partners, academic and non-academic, public and private, in the implementation of new research and training. The "Mediterranean Societies in Transition" (SoMuM) Institute is based on a varied partnership to develop joint calls for projects, launch collaborative scientific projects, finance postdoctoral contracts or CIFRE conventions, and finally to widely disseminate scientific culture. The intersectorial circle of the SoMuM Institute is varied:

  • Ministries and local authorities

  • Cultural Institutions

  • Associations and NGOs

  • Companies

  • Publishers

  • Think Tanks and Foundations

  • Institutes of Aix-Marseille University

Within the framework of the Committee on Research, Training and Intersectoriality: the contribution of Socio-economic and Cultural Stakeholders, various actions are being implemented:

  • Launching of a working group on joint training and employability actions in the region, in particular through the development of internships in the business world.

  • Support for the missions of promotion and expertise of doctoral students within the Institute's perimeter

  • Participation in scientific culture events open to the general public

  • Development of dissemination and promotion activities in conjunction with socio-economic and cultural partners
