AAP 2021 "Transition in Action"

This second edition of the call for proposals is initially launched around the action: "transition into action". This call was built in the same spirit that animated the drafting group of the response text to the call for proposals (Annex 1) and more recently the workshops designed to federate our community in all its diversity, as well as the feedback from the first edition.

Background

The Institut Méditerranéen pour la Transition Environnementale (ITEM) is one of the institutes associating high-level teaching and research, created by Aix-Marseille University in 2020. Its mission is to generate and disseminate new knowledge on the major contemporary socio-environmental issues surrounding environmental transition, to bring out talents and to attract the best researchers.

Main objectives

Each project leader will have to assess and describe the scientific obstacles and the avenues for innovation in his project, as well as anticipate future themes and issues, even if he assumes a breakthrough approach. Moreover, by the effort of integration that these questions require, the initiatives proposed on "transition in action" will have to justify the level of interaction between disciplines and/or scales of organization. They will also be able to specify their positioning in a national and international research context. Proposals should take into account the strengthening of the link between training and research.

Proposals must fall within one of the 9 priority themes of the Institute's scientific project. Find them in the detailed description of the PAA.
