Arts/Sciences

The Institute "Mediterranean Societies in Transition" (SoMuM) supports the promotion of research and creativity in the field of the Humanities and the Arts. It mobilizes the Sciences of knowledge, Digital Humanities as well as the relations between Humanities and Social Sciences and artistic creation, through collaborations with professional actors in the digital and cultural fields.
The "Arts - Sciences" axis of the Institute is integrated into the "Data and New Narrations in Humanities and Social Sciences" cluster. Its mission is to bring together the worlds of research, art and culture through the development of multidisciplinary projects and training:

• Dissemination of scientific culture, participation in exhibitions and events Arts/Sciences
• Organisation of research seminars and training courses for researchers, teacher-researchers, doctoral students, master's students and cultural actors.
• Exploration of innovative formats in the field of digital publishing: co-development of multilingual platforms, digital projects and web documentaries, in dialogue with artistic professions.
• Reflection on new forms of writing and new tools: from data, to writing, publishing and valorisation
• Training of students in new writing and multimedia tools
