The conference "The security of tomorrow", under the aegis of the Institute of Advanced Studies of the Ministry of the Interior and the Doctoral Programme for Defence and Internal Security of Aix-Marseille Université, will take place on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 October 2021 in the Gastaut amphitheatre.

The acceleration of the pace of technological innovations will profoundly change the management of internal security in the next 5 to 10 years, both in the field of threats and prevention and investigation. What technological developments will impact the protection of goods and people? How will the security forces have to adapt to these developments? Will they be accepted by society, in terms of daily police-citizen relations and equality, and what degree of trust should be placed in them? How should these changes be managed and supervised? Practitioners and researchers will work together to sketch out the face of tomorrow's security, by identifying new risks and anticipating solutions.
The conference will take place both face-to-face and remotely. Depending on the health regulations that will apply at the time of the conference, places will be limited in the classroom.
