CIVIS | CIVIS Orchestra Academy

90 student musicians from the nine European universities of the CIVIS alliance (Rome, Madrid, Bucharest, Tübingen, Brussels, Athens, Stockholm, Glasgow and Aix-Marseille) take over the spaces of La Criée to perform Gustav Mahler's magnificent Symphony No. 1 (known as "Titan"), under the baton of conductor Sébastien Boin, director of the Aix-Marseille University Symphony Orchestra (OSAMU) and two guest conductors from the partner universities.

Within the framework of the European university alliance "CIVIS", Aix-Marseille University will welcome its European counterparts from April 11 to 17, 2022 for a week of European orchestra residency. This residency will end with two original concerts on Saturday, April 16 at the Théâtre de la Criée, the first at 11:00 a.m. specifically adapted for family time. The big concert at 8pm will be broadcast live (streaming).
