Aix-Marseille University is celebrating the centenary of the birth of one of the most influential songwriters and performers of the French chanson, Georges BRASSENS.
His tireless work on words, his swing called "la pompe" and his rocky voice that sings poets or lines up gaillardises made him an institution and a reference during his lifetime, celebrated decades after his death by all contemporary French song.
Exhibitions, lectures, concerts...the campuses will be filled with her work, steeped in music and poetry, during the months of September and October.
On Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the Plateau du Cube, a great musical and festive evening "Chantons Brassens!" is being prepared.... WITH YOU!
