Information letter from the President of Aix-Marseille University to the entire university community.
Marseille, Friday, March 11, 2022
As the government announced on March 3, the health situation is finally improving. Therefore, the sanitary measures that were in force in our country until now will be lightened as of Monday, March 14.
It is therefore with great pleasure but also with caution that I am sending you the following information:
Wearing a mask and barrier gestures:
As of next week, wearing a mask will no longer be mandatory on all Aix-Marseille University campuses, including offices and classrooms. However, it will remain mandatory in public transportation and health care facilities.
Of course, colleagues and students who wish to do so are free to keep wearing the mask and it is still recommended for people "at risk".
As a precautionary measure, it is also advisable to continue to air the premises regularly. This reduction in measures does not mean that the virus is no longer circulating and we must be careful.
End of the "vaccine pass
The presentation of the "vaccination pass" will no longer be required as of March 14 in all university venues and events where it was required until now. The "health pass" will however remain in force in health establishments, retirement homes and establishments welcoming people with disabilities.
This good news gives us a glimpse of the return to campus life that we have so missed. I would like to thank you all for your mobilization and commitment during these long months of health restrictions. It is also thanks to this general momentum that we are now looking forward to better days.
As I said earlier, let's not relax our attention towards this virus, but let's take advantage, together, of this newfound freedom.
I look forward to seeing you on the campuses of Aix-Marseille University.
President of Aix-Marseille University
