Schizophrenia, a condition that impacts 1% of the global population, shows the limitations of current therapeutic options, with 30-50% of patients experiencing inadequate responses to existing antipsychotics.

The 26ᵉ edition of Brain Awareness Week will take place from March 5 to 24, 2024 in the Marseille area on the theme of "Brain: perfect or imperfect?". Aix-Marseille Université is taking part, notably via the NeuroMarseille institute and its many neuroscientists involved.

As part of the WE4LEAD Women's Empowerment For LEADership and Equity in Higher Education Institutions project, a CBHE ERASMUS+ project co-funded by the European Union, Isabelle Régner, Vice-President for Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination at Aix-Marseille Université and WE4LEAD project coordinator, in collaboration with the University of Sousse, co-sponsor of the Work package Formations, trained some 30 future trainers from partner universities in implicit gender bias.

One of the missions of the Institut Sociétés en Mutation en Méditerranée (SoMuM) is to set up a range of training programs, from Master's level through to doctoral studies. Within this framework, SoMuM publishes calls for projects specifically dedicated to doctoral students within its perimeter, designed to enhance doctoral training, strengthen training through research, and promote professional integration, with a view to opening up to the international arena.
