The Faculty of Science is a multidisciplinary faculty with 9 departments:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Computer Science and Interactions
- Mathematics
- Mechanics
- Physics
- Sciences, arts and techniques of image and sound (SATIS)
- Interactions Sciences et Sociétés (ISS)
- Institute for Research in Science Education (IRES)
It is located at 6 sites: Montperrin in Aix-en-Provence, Saint-Jérôme, Château-Gombert, Saint-Charles, Luminy and Aubagne in Marseille. A comprehensive range of courses: from bachelor's degrees to doctorates, professional bachelor's degrees and numerous master's degrees, as well as 3 Master's degree programs in engineering. All courses are available for continuing education. The faculty also offers distance learning courses through its CTES (Centre de Télé Enseignement en Sciences). Strong research activity: the Faculty brings together 29 research units in association with major research organizations such as CNRS, Inserm and CEA. Research is conducted at the highest level.
