Due to the presence less than 100 km from CEA's Cadarache centre, the ITER organisation and IRSN, the ISFIN institute benefits from an exceptional regional environment in terms of large facilities and experimental platforms in the fields of fusion and fission such as :
- the WEST tokamak of the CEA's IRFM
- the ITER Tokamak under construction
- the CEA's Jules Horowitz Reactor (RJH) under construction at Cadarache
- IRSN's CABRI reactor operated by CEA
A large number of research programs are related to these beautiful machines. Pedagogical visits are also organized for graduate school students.
