France 2030

"France 2030" responds to the major challenges of our time, in particular the ecological transition, through a massive investment plan to create the future technological champions of tomorrow and support the transition of our sectors of excellence: energy, automotive, aeronautics and space.

France 2030 is also innovative in its scope. In total, it represents more than €50 billion, including €34 billion in new funding and €20 billion from the 4th Future Investment Program voted in 2021.
The plan sets 10 objectives based on three challenges: better production, better living and better understanding of our world.

The France 2030 Future Investment Program, managed by the General Secretariat for Investment (SGPI), was set up by the French government to finance innovative and promising investments in the country, in order to enable France to increase its growth and employment potential. From the emergence of an idea to the market launch of a new product or service, this program intervenes throughout the innovation life cycle and links public research and the business world. The France 2030 Plan d'investissement d'avenir is based on a dual principle of leverage and risk sharing: the State's investment in an innovation project is usually co-financed by private or public partners. It is broken down into four successive waves that correspond to the commitment of new funds to continue the deployment of France's innovation and growth potential.

Wave 4 of the program is dedicated to a new generation of strategic investments. 20 billion spread over two complementary components:

  • Structural component: recurrent financing of education, research and innovation ecosystems and generic support systems for innovative companies,
  • Directed component: financing of exceptional investments that meet the transitional challenges of our society and our economy.
