MINISTRY OF EUROPE AND FOREIGN AFFAIRS (MEAE) PROGRAMME
-In 2022, local authorities will be able to apply for an annual call for projects (for 2022) or a three-year call for projects (2022-2024), taking over from the current three-year 2019-2021 and two-year 2020-2021 calls for projects.
-Two thematic calls for projects will be presented in 2021 : the Youth VII PAA, with the same rules and strands as in 2020 (youth and volunteering, basic education and vocational training), and which involves partners outside the MEAE; this call for projects will cover the year 2021 only; and a call for Sport projects (triennial 2021-2023) intended to support the encouragement of sports practices by local authorities in the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Para-Olympic Games.
-Bilateral calls for projects support decentralised cooperation projects between French and foreign local authorities that meet priorities shared with the partner State, in accordance with the terms and conditions defined in bilateral agreements. Within this framework, specific funds have been set up, sometimes co-financed by the governments of foreign partners. In 2021, the bilateral PAAs concerning cooperation with: Quebec (biennial 2021-2022); Russia (support fund for the Year of Franco-Russian decentralised cooperation); Senegal; Morocco; Tunisia; Lebanon; Mexico will be opened.
This list of calls for projects is not exhaustive. If you wish to apply to other international calls for projects, the Strategic Projects and Networks Unit will help you identify local, national and international calls for projects that may correspond to your project.
