Work-linked training, a path of excellence for successful professional integration in a context of crisis

As the national application campaign to enroll in higher education at the University is underway, students will have to choose courses that correspond to their professional project and that lead to a job. One wise choice is that of work-study!

Concerned about the professional integration of its students, the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Aix-Marseille University has, in the space of 10 years, more than tripled the number of its work-study programmes, as well as its numbers, which now exceed 600 work-study students, compared with 505 last year. It has stepped up its efforts since the beginning of the health crisis.

Combining theoretical teaching and professional application, these 17 excellent courses, available in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, at Bachelor's and Master's level, enable students to acquire real experience to facilitate their integration into the world of work.

In collaboration with the Epure Méditerranée inter-university CFA and the professional branches, the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Aix-Marseille offers a variety of career opportunities ranging from insurance to banking, including environmental and corporate governance, real estate, taxation, accounting, urban planning and transport.

The deployment of ISO 9001 certification for work-study courses is a real guarantee of quality, as is already the case for the Master's degree in Banking Law and Asset Management.

In the years to come, Dean Jean-Philippe Agresti aims to further develop work-study programs in order to contribute to the economic development of our region and to support the employment of young graduates in a context of crisis. In this respect, two new sandwich courses will open at the start of the 2021 academic year (Master 2 Business Law - Company Engineering course and Master 2 Tax Law - Customs course), bringing the number of courses to 24. There is no doubt that the renewal of the exceptional aid of €8,000 paid to employers who recruit major apprentices will accentuate this trend.
