Negrito - Theatrical Evening at the Cube

Negrito

Show at the Théâtre du Cube, on November 28th at 8pm.
In the context of the symposium "Law, Revolutions and Transitions, 1959-2019: Cuba, sixty years of Revolution in the face of globalization"

Following a performance based on the work of the Cuban poet Nicolás Guillén (1902-1989), young researchers present their analysis of the issues raised by the author's poems, performed by Abdulah Sissoko and directed by Alice Monicat, playwright and doctoral student at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Aix-Marseille.

Equality between men, rejection of injustice, criticism of colonization and imperialism are central themes in the poetic work of Nicolás Guillén, an emblematic figure of negrism and the Cuban Revolution.
