Launch of the "Regenerating our Ocean and Waters" mission

DIRCOM-CP-AMU-Mission Ocean-2022

For two days, Aix-Marseille Université will host the launch of a European initiative dedicated to improving the state of Europe's seas and inland waters. The event, co-organized by the European Union, AMU, the region, the city of Marseille and the Mediterranean Sea Cluster, will focus on the implementation of the Horizon Europe mission "Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030" and on the actions planned to accelerate the transition to zero pollution in the Mediterranean Sea

June 13 and 14, 2022 in Marseille

-    Le Pharo (58 bd Charles Livon, 13007 Marseille)

Life on Earth depends on the health of the connected system of ocean, seas and inland waters, which covers about 75% of the Earth's surface. Yet, human action is placing it at considerable risk, resulting in pollution, biodiversity loss, and extreme weather events. The challenge of this Mission is therefore the study, restoration, and protection of European waters by 2030.
