The Semaine Internationale du Théâtre d'Aix-Marseille Université is now part of the regional, national and international landscape through the success of its previous editions and through the original encounter between scientific research from laboratories, contemporary creation and artistic practices. It continues to weave the link between our university and our cultural territory.
This 3rd edition entirely devoted to acting has obtained the support of the A*Midex Foundation (POTEAC research programme "Poetics and techniques of the actor: heritage, innovations, globalisation") and has the privilege of being sponsored by Macha Makeïeff, director of the Théâtre National de Marseille La Criée.
Based on the performances of the 2019-2020 season of our partner theatres in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, it offers students, researchers and the general public, study days, master classes, conferences, meetings and round tables with national artists, directors and actors. It also shows the richness of our teachings through numerous shows resulting from the training. The exceptional programme of this 3rd International Theatre Week of Aix-Marseille University revisits the fundamentals of European classical theatre but also of world heritage. Through the regional, national and international visibility it offers, it reinforces the role of Aix-Marseille University as a major scientific actor.
