Encouraging summer student jobs: partnership between AMU and CPME Sud PACA

CP Signature de partenariat AMU-CPME

Aix-Marseille Université (AMU), represented by its President Eric BERTON, and the Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Southern Region (CPME Sud Provence), represented by its President Alain GARGANI, signed a partnership agreement on 16 July with the aim of uniting their efforts in order to promote the recruitment of AMU students for summer jobs by companies in the area.

Beyond its effects on health and sanitary conditions, the "Covid-19" global epidemic crisis has significant repercussions on the economy, the effects of which are beginning to be measured. The current phase requires the energy and mobilization of all the actors and driving forces of the regional territory, in order to promote economic recovery and the resumption of activities, tertiary, industrial and commercial.
In this context, Aix-Marseille Université (AMU) and the Confédération des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises Sud Provence - Alpes - Côte d'Azur (CPME Sud), wished to encourage the recruitment of AMU students this summer. The economic sustainability of the academic year for many AMU students depends on their ability to carry out a "summer job" in July or August and it is therefore essential for them to be able to find an employer for this activity quickly.
Through this agreement, these two actors wish to contribute, via defined and common means, to putting AMU students in touch with companies in the area that are looking for such human resources.
