The Institute of Mechanics and Engineering has launched a call for "Postdocs" with the objective of funding 3 post-doctoral students for a period of 12 months starting September/October 2020.

After collection from the Institute's researchers, a selection of 6 subjects was made by the Scientific Council. It is now possible to submit an application for each of them (CV + cover letter).
It is expected that post-doctoral students will be able to participate in teaching sequences which may take multiple forms: supervision of projects or trainees, participation in teaching sequences at advanced levels (M2 and PhD), seminars to present their research activity to a student audience.
IMI gives priority to the collaborative, inter-laboratory and inter-disciplinary nature of projects within the Institute. The present call is open to all candidates.

A community of scientists and state-of-the-art equipment in the fields of fluid and solid mechanics, acoustics, energy and process engineering.
Understanding the mechanisms of deformation, movement and transfer in fluids and solids is as much a challenge when designing an aircraft as it is when analysing the atmosphere or the movement of bacteria. The Institute of Mechanics and Engineering brings together four laboratories and a community of nearly 200 researchers committed to high-level training around these themes. The aim is to develop new knowledge, models and associated methods of resolution as well as innovative diagnostics that will make it possible to tackle the complex, multidisciplinary problems posed by industry and related scientific fields (geosciences, life sciences, environment, health, energy, etc.).
