Eric Berton, President of Aix-Marseille University, has appointed Professor Ariel Mendez, provisional administrator of IAE Aix-Marseille, part of Aix-Marseille University, as of July 1, following the resignation of Professor Virginie de Barnier. Ariel Mendez will ensure the continuity of the activities of the school during the transitional period before the election of a new director.
Ariel Mendez has been Professor of Management Sciences at Aix-Marseille University since 2005. A former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, she obtained a PhD in Economic Sciences in 1994, then a Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches en Sciences de gestion in 2002 before becoming a University Professor in 2003. She is currently Deputy Vice President in charge of the Law-Economy-Management sectors of Aix-Marseille University and Deputy Director of the Institut Créativité et Innovations d'Aix-Marseille (InCIAM) since 2019 after having directed the Laboratoire d'Economie et de Sociologie du Travail (LEST, UMR AMU CNRS) from 2008 to 2017.
His main research activities focus on innovation management and organizational dynamics. She is the author or co-author of about a hundred publications, communications and conferences, is the editor or co-editor of various books and journal issues and has sat on numerous scientific committees of national and international conferences.
