Hosting a delegation at IMéRA in an international and interdisciplinary context
Aix-Marseille University's Institute for Advanced Study, IMéRA is a sanctuary of intellectual freedom where a temporary community of top international scientists and artists can find the time, space, and resources to discover, individually and with other residents, new meaning and content for their research. Since the 2021-22 academic year, such a framework is open to teacher-researchers at Aix-Marseille University to rethink their relationship to their discipline and other fields of knowledge for six months, and possibly undertake a thematic reconversion in contact with residents from a wide variety of geographic and disciplinary backgrounds.
This delegation gives rise to a full course release for its entire duration (first or second semester), which is paid for by the university. Four AMU Fellows will be hosted during the 2022-23 year. They will have an office at IMéRA in one of the IMéRA co-working spaces shared with the other residents. Finally, they will have a budget of 2500 euros to carry out their projects (missions, organization of events, etc.)
AMU Fellows' research projects must be part of one of IMéRA's four scientific programs: " Arts, Sciences, and Society ", " Interdisciplinary Explorations ", " Mediterranean ", and " Necessary Utopias ", to which they will actively contribute, for example by participating in workshops and seminars with the possibility of proposing the organization of events and original exchange formats.
