To respond to menstrual precariousness in an eco-responsible manner, AMU is committed to providing these students with kits of two reusable organic pads to be collected from SIUMPPS (Interuniversity Service of Preventive Medicine and Health Promotion).
This initiative comes ahead of the ministerial announcement of March 7, 2023, that the Social Security will reimburse reusable sanitary pads for people 25 years old and younger in 2024.
The inauguration of the menstrual precariousness program took place on May 10 on the Saint-Charles campus, during which students and health relay students distributed the first kits.

Menstrual insecurity is a real public health issue.
According to a survey published by the FAGE, ANESF and AFEP in early 2021, 33% of those surveyed said they needed help to obtain sufficient menstrual protection, and 13% had already had to choose between protection and a basic necessity.
The consequences of menstrual insecurity are not only economic, they are also health and mental.

Funded by the CVEC, this project required strong interactions between the Quality of Life at Work Vice Presidency, the Health Vice Presidency, the Sustainable Development Vice Presidency and the Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination Vice Presidency.

Need a kit? For more information, contact your SIUMPPS. The outlying campuses, which do not have SIUMPPS, will initially be equipped with biodegradable disposable protection dispensers financed by the Vice President for Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination.
