Within the framework of the ministerial "Ambition Armées jeunesse" plan and the framework partnership agreement signed between the Southern Defense and Security Zone (EMZDS-Marseille) and Aix-Marseille University (AMU), defining an ambitious framework for privileged links between defense and academia, this bonus is particularly aimed at students wishing to :
* a better understanding of the driving forces and challenges of France's defense policy in today's national and international contexts,
* understand the organization and functioning of the military institution, and how the armed forces are used today,
* strengthen their defence culture;
Description:
This bonus is aimed both at students wishing to acquire this defense culture through lectures and unit visits (optional), and at students already serving in the army as reservists ("reservist" bonus).
* The "Defense" bonus consists in attending 10 one-hour lectures (45-minute presentation + 15-minute question period), including an inaugural lecture on geostrategy and geopolitics.
* The "Reservist" bonus involves joining the operational reserve (see terms and conditions at www.reservistes.defense.gouv.fr).
* As an option, a visit to a Ministry of the Armed Forces site will also be offered to volunteers who regularly attend conferences.
DEFENSE" BONUS

* Aix en Provence: Mondays March 11, 18 and 25, 2024, Tuesdays April 2 and 8, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Campus Schuman (the name of the amphitheatre will be announced at a later date).
* Conferences in Marseille: Wednesdays March 12, 20 and 27, 2024 and Wednesdays April 3 and 10, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Campus St Charles (the name of the amphitheater will be announced later)
* Visit to a military unit: Thursday May 16, 2024: 4th Regiment of Chasseurs (GAP)

Grading :
2 grading levels:
+0.30: for discovery. Sanctioning the fact that the student has attended all the lectures and the visit.
+0.50: for commitment as a reservist. This is awarded if the student has enlisted in the operational reserve for at least 10 days over the course of a year.
Procedures for collecting results :
The zonal coordinator and manager of relations with higher education within the outreach unit of the Defence and Security Zone South headquarters in Marseille, in cooperation with the AMU contact for the training pillar of the framework agreement n°AMU-2021-6458, will send the list of students who have partially or fully validated the bonus as part of this commitment to the tuition department of the component concerned.
