Euro-Mediterranean Universities Network TETHYS, Aix Marseille University project proposal EuNIT selected for funding by European ERASMUS + programme

The Euro-Mediterranean Universities Network TETHYS, Aix-Marseille University, is pleased to announce that the ERASMUS + Capacity Building project EuNIT “European project desigN and management In the South MediTerranean region” has been selected for funding by the European Commission’s ERASMUS + programme. EuNIT is a joint project designed by the Euro-Mediterranean Universities Network TETHYS, Aix-Marseille University for a 3-year period starting from the 15th October 2016 and with a budget of 1 million euros.

 

It aims to address the priority of the Internationalisation of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in countries in the South-Mediterranean region focusing on Lebanon, Jordan and Libya. The project’s wider objective is to enable South Mediterranean Partner Country universities to build durable international partnerships and maximise their internationalisation efforts.

 

The project will develop an innovative training programme in European project design and management for 24 selected staff members from Lebanese, Libyan and Jordanian institutions that are project partners. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) will also be developed alongside a regional EuNIT network to promote the exchange of good practices, use of MOOCs and also offer training sessions for staff from other universities in the region in EU project design and management.

 

16 HEIs from 7 countries of the Mediterranean region (Croatia, France, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Spain) will be involved in the project.
